LokAyurveda: from community knowledge to responsible innovation

Community knowledge is already a complete practice for the people who hold it. Innovation, if it happens, starts by asking whether they want a record at all.

A responsible next step names the holders, the permission, the plants, and the gap in what science has and has not checked. It does not treat a field note as a patent, a poster, or a cure.

The essays in the LokAyurveda section set that rule for this site.

A record, in order

  1. Who holds the knowledge, named as they wish to be named.
  2. What they allowed this site, or a project, to do with it.
  3. The plants and the place, without a map that invites collection.
  4. What is still unknown, written as unknown.
